Ideal for those completely new to the industry / those seeking a new career. This course covers the fundamental basics of locksmithing right across the board to give you a firm understanding and base to develop from when starting your own self-employed locksmith business.

The locksmith training will give you valuable skills and business tips to begin trading as a locksmith.

Qualification : NCFE Level 3 (A Level Equivalent) – All practical course!
Price : £695 inc. VAT, 2 nights accommodation and lunch (£760 with NCFE Level 3 Award)
Day 1
- Understanding different types of locks in use today
- Understanding best practices and methods of entry
- Picking standard euro cylinders
- Drilling and pulling standard euro cylinders
- Picking Yale and Rim cylinders
- Slipping Yale cylinders
- Miscellaneous lock picking
Day 2
- Picking 2 & 3 lever mortice locks
- Drilling 5 lever British Standard mortice locks
- Picking 5 lever mortice locks (curtain and no curtain)
- Servicing & replacing uPVC mechanisms
- Opening unlocked, failed uPVC mechanisms
- uPVC window handles, hinges and mechanisms
- Identifying and replacing uPVC door handles
- Fitting new high security MUL-T-LOCKS and Squire uPVC cylinders
Day 3
- Gaining access to high security uPVC cylinders
- Gaining access to other more obscure locks
- Keying Alike various locks
- Understanding master keying
- Understanding Bump Keys
- Aligning uPVC doors
- Business start up advice
- Advertising, Invoicing, and more

Our locksmith training price includes a certificate to show satisfactory completion of our course, a full backup service should you need help at any time when you are on call on your own, and refreshments throughout the 3 days you are with us.
We charge an extra £55 for the NCFE Level 3 Accreditation due to the administration and paperwork involved.
