2 Day Locksmith Training Course

Ideal for window and door fitters or joiners with a small amount of experience. This course starts from a more advanced point and doesn’t cover basics such as fitting locks from scratch. We teach from your existing level of knowledge…

This course is suited to quick learners who are from a practical background, and also those who may be limited with how many days they can take off work to train with us.

Aimed at : Those with some experience such as window and door technicians

Qualification : MPL 2 Day Course Certificate

Price : £495 inc. VAT, 1 night accommodation and lunch

Day 1

  • Understanding different types of locks in use today
  • Understanding best practices and methods of entry
  • Picking standard euro cylinders
  • Drilling and pulling standard euro cylinders
  • Picking Yale and Rim cylinders
  • Slipping Yale cylinders
  • Miscellaneous lock picking

Day 2

  • Picking 2 & 3 lever mortice locks
  • Drilling 5 lever British Standard mortice locks
  • Picking 5 lever mortice locks (curtain and no curtain)
  • Servicing & replacing uPVC mechanisms
  • Opening unlocked, failed uPVC mechanisms
  • uPVC window handles, hinges and mechanisms
  • Identifying and replacing uPVC door handles
  • Fitting new high security MUL-T-LOCKS and Squire uPVC cylinders
